2013 Beauty Wish List!

Hey Beauties!

I am so excited for this season because there are SO MANY amazing sales and gift sets coming out! This post will be a great Holiday Gift Guide, as well as a list of items you should add to your list. Even if you don’t partake in the holiday season, these are some great products to pick up while all the sales are on.

*These are actual products that I hope to pick up this sale season, so I do not have any actual reviews of these products (yet). Also, this is an extravagant list of beauty products, and I do not want anyone to think that I am “asking for” or “expect to get” all of these things; this is just more of a master wish list of things I like/think are worth the money* ūüôā

Here we go :

Under $25

Soap and Glory Good, Butter, Best –¬†a 1.69oz trial size of their 3 best selling body butters including The Righteous Body Butter, Sugar Crush Body Buttercream, and Butter Yourself Body Cream. It comes in a cute little box packaging, and would be great to give/get in a set or individually. $15 at Sephora

Origins Drink Up Lip Balm Set –¬†a set of 4 gorgeous lip glosses in the shades Nude Nectarine, Pink Guava, Plum Punch, and Cherry Pop. Again, these would be awesome to give/get as a set or individually. $22 at Macys

Bumble and Bumble Tonic Shampoo –¬†a stimulating shampoo with peppermint and tea tree oil to invigorate and balance the scalp. I know shampoo seems like kind of a strange thing to get excited over, but my hair stylist uses this on me, and let me tell you, it feels amazing. 8oz for $25 at Sephora

Fresh Soy Cleanser –¬†a facial cleanser that uses soy proteins to cleanse, tone, firm, and moisturize the skin. It is suitable for all skin types, and feels absolutely fantastic. Again, I know its strange to get excited about something a simple as a cleanser, but trust me. 1.7oz for $15 at Sephora

Beauty Blender Sponge –¬†is the number one cult favorite makeup tool for flawless foundation application. EVERY beauty lover needs one of these in their life. $19.95 (varies) Sephora

Under $50

Laura Mercier Artist’s Palette for Eyes –¬†a unique take on the popular “Naked” type palettes that every beauty company has taken a shot at. I like this one best because though it does have the essential neutrals that every palette of this type requires, it adds a small variety of shades that even the most seasoned beauty expert has not seen in a palette of this kind; as well as an unexpected variation of neutrals. $48 at Sephora

Tarte Off The Cuff Amazonian Clay 12 Hour Blush Palette –¬†is a palette that consists of 5 coveted amazonian clay blushes. The shades include Dollface, Dazzled, Darling, Crave, and Park Ave Princess. This set also includes a black bracelet with a gold bow. $42 at Sephora

MAC Eyeshadow Gift Guide

Hey Everyone! I was recently asked which MAC eyeshadows would be good to give as a gift, so I decided to make a little guide as to which ones I think go well together. I had so much fun making this post because I found a ton of new combinations of eyeshadows that I had never thought to use together before; so whether you’re reading this as a gift guide for yourself or others, or you already have some of these colors and want to get new combo inspiration, I hope you enjoy ūüôā

Naked 2 Palette Holiday Makeup

Hey Everyone! Today I did a look with the holiday party theme in mind using the Naked 2 Palette by Urban Decay. Normally I prefer the original Naked palette, but I thought maybe some of you either only have or prefer the second one, so thats why I chose to use it. I used the colors Foxy, Bootycall, Chopper, Tease, YDK, and Busted to create a look that I would describe as an Angelic-Vixen-Shimmer look. If you want to see how I did it, click on the video :

Here are pictures and descriptions of the products I used:

CoverGirl LashBlast Mascara, Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer, Revlon Photoready Foundation, Urban Decay Primer Potion, Revlon Brow Fantasy

Lush Holiday 2012

Hi y’all! I’m so excited about Lush’s holiday goodies this year! About two weeks ago I picked up just a few new things to try before I go all out and stock up on my favorites, so heres what I think! :

Father Christmas

The Father Christmas¬†bath bomb is a wonderful scent combination of clove, vanilla, and brandy. It’s super relaxing and seems to just warm up your mind, body, and soul. It is supposed to come with a “surprise” inside, but mine didn’t ¬†ūüė¶ Though I was surprised the water turned deep green, instead of the pink-redish color I was expecting. If you like BBW Twilight Woods or Warm Vanilla Sugar, you’ll like this. I know I do!

Cinders is one of my ALL TIME favorite holiday luxuries! This one I had tried before so I stocked up big time. This bath bomb smells like sweet cinnamon and is actually filled with little popping candies so during your quiet bath time, it sounds like you’re out in a fantastic luxury wilderness spa next to a crackling fire. ¬†Fantastic, right?!

Santa’s Sack

I was initially very excited about this bubble bar because it is essentially a three in one, one bubble bar being the “sack” and two others being the “presents” that actually can be pulled out of the sack. It’s a clever idea, but the bubbles weren’t as full as I’m used to with Lush. I wasn’t impressed with the fragrance either, its just a generic sweet/spicy smell that has been duplicated time and time again. I could have just gotten another “dud”, but the rest of Santa’s Sack wasn’t enough to make me want to retry it.

Melting Snowman

First of all, I know my snowman’s little nose is missing, but thats ok right? This cute little bath melt has a really deep, rich clove and cinnamon scent. If you are prone to headaches due to strong smells, I would avoid this one like the plague. Its not like the smell is strong in the sense that its all you’re able to smell and it lingers on your skin for a long time, but its strong in the sense that what you do smell gets into your nose and can irritate it. I think it just has a tad too much clove in it. So the only thing I really liked about the Melting Snowman was its looks.

Party Popper

The Party Popper is a bag of tricks! Its the absolute sweetest bath bomb I’ve ever used, it smells like bubblegum, tangerine, and sweet candy. This one has the popping candy in it to create the crackling sounds; and it also has “confetti” in it that doubles as a melon soap to rub all over your body. If you like sweet smells like the Snow Fairy products from Lush, this will be your new favorite bath bomb.

In addition to the cool things with pictures mentioned above, I also picked up the Snow Fairy Shower Gel and the Popcorn Lip Scrub. I first got a taste of Snow Fairy a few years back when they released the Snow Fairy Lip Tint, and from then on Ive been a super fan. So needless to say when LUSH released the shower gel this year i was thrilled! Pick this one up if you can! And as for the Popcorn Lip Scrub…I prefer Mint Julips.
