October IPSY Bag !

Hey Everyone! I just got my October IPSY (formerly My Glam ) bag yesterday in the mail! So I thought I’d go ahead and blog about the products that came in it. Check out the video I made about them too :

Anyways I love the Pequi Oil Treatment by Couture Color! I’m so buying a big bottle of this stuff! I just rubbed a small amount into my hair after i got out of the shower and it made my hair so soft and shiny. I noticed my hair felt so healthy and soft throughout the day which was nice because I usually have super dry thin hair all the time no matter what products I use. My hair is fine, so I usually stay away from oils because it makes my hair look greasy even if i don’t apply much, but this one just added mega shine and softness with no side effects. Yay!

The Coastal Scents mini quad that came in this months bag was so tiny and cute! I wasn’t crazy about the bright colors because I’m more of a neutrals girl, but the pigmentation and blendability was good. My favorite color is “Paris Green”, it reminds me of the oxidized copper on the tops of very old european buildings. Also, it is kind of a play off of the “Car Key” color  trend right now. The colors are from right to left : Cloud White, Paris Green, Reef Blue, and Thunderous. 

The Mirenesse Lip Bomb in #4 is a glossy laquer stain that is extact dupe for the Bare Minerals Pretty Amazing Lip Color in pigmentation and consistency. And like the BM, it stays on ALL DAY! I love these lipstick/stain/gloss blends, so I’m thrilled to have discovered another brand that makes them!

The next two things I’m not super excited to write about because I mainly like to focus on the good products, not the bad. But, these two are just that…bad. The “What’s Your Type?” black mascara from The Balm is one of the worst mascaras I’ve ever tried. The wand is a strange blend of lengthening and volumizing bristles that just don’t work. It made my lashes really clumpy and spidery-in-a-bad-way looking. The formula is equally as strange but its mainly liquidy and just BAD! The Be A Bombshell eyeliner in onyx is pretty much the worst idea for an eyeliner ever. It’s the same size as a Crayola marker. Does that sound easy to use on a small area? Unless you go to costume parties everyday I wouldn’t purchase this, let alone attempt to use it ever.
